In interviews back in July, Andrew Lincoln said that he can no longer spend so much time every year in America filming as he wants to be with his family.

I assumed that meant he was going to be killed off.

Keeping the main character alive while giving a look at what is going on elsewhere in the world of TWD seems to me to be an excellent choice.

I thought it was a great episode plus the look at the next episodes - love the idea of the walkers evolving.
I’m glad they havent killed rick off tho.

T’was good, certainly by the standards of recent episodes. Seems a bit of a random place in the season to make such a big change. See what happens next then.

Best episode in a couple of seasons,though I thought Rick surviving was a bit of a cop out.After everything he's been through and how many lives he's saved (putting aside the people we've lost due to his poor decision making) to see him going out in a blaze of glory would,to me,seem much more fitting.

I personally thought the killing him would have been the cop out as that is what happens the majority of  time an actor wants to leave a show.

So..I may have missed this but what is an "A" and whats a "B".  Clearly gives Mr Lincoln the option to return at a later stage or take it in a different direction.

I don't think we know. I wondered whether it simply meant a leader of the survivors or simply a bit player. Maybe they want to be able to influence the leaders of the survivor society?
