More promises of better things to come, but I'm not holding my breath...

i.e. a shit mid season "finale"...

Well I watched the mid-season finale last night...

(Spoilers ahead)








I thought it was pretty crap, to be honest: the Dante stuff was over in the blink of an eye, Michonne seems to spend all her time in a cart thing and it's never clear where she's going or why - although now she's going to the island... is that the last we're going to see of her?
And I'm getting really sick of Alpha and the way she sounds like she's being all deep & spiritual while she says nothing. And I don't really understand why everyone follows her so loyally.

I'm really struggling to find anyone in the show that I care about now. Even Carol is getting on my nerves, and running into that cave was just stupid! It wasn't much of a cliffhanger, they're *obviously* not going to kill off Carol, Daryl, Aaron & Jerry in one go. And what's going on with Negan, where even is he? It feels like they could have been much further on with the story now, they spend *so* long building it all up...

I must admit though, zombie Siddiq & the baby was tense viewing... for about 11 seconds

Watched it last night too. By god that was crap. Spoilers below! 

Have they learnt nothing? Following Alpha when she runs into a dark cave?? So nobody thought it was a trap eh? Stooopid. 

They won’t get killed off. Oh look they’ve conveniently landed on a shelf above the walkers. Either Edith or Negan will intervene to help. Lame. 

Michonne just suddenly trusts the new guy even though a load of walkers suddenly appeared from nowhere? Judith’s got more balls than her all of a sudden? Ridiculous. 

The only real “woah!” moments were Gabriel getting his violent head on and the peeling the helmet off bit.

I would usually want to defend the show as it remains one of my all time favourites.

But FFS, the writers really need a kick up the arse.

Seems like it's in the death rattle. Fear of started well, but it's a soap opera now.

There are too many inexplicable decisions made, which leads to frustratingly predictable losses and battles.

As mentioned, gritty and seasoned warriors seem to just stand there and do nothing when the Boss baddie is right in front of them

Why haven't they emigrated to an Island yet, or communicated with people from other parts of the world? basic radios from 100+ years ago could do that.

Only just realised that the actor who plays Alpha, is the same one who played the pre-cog Agatha from Minority Report !

Yes, I'm just happy that ridiculous character is no more, and Negan is getting some excellent almost comical one liners.

I know what happens next in the comic but I suppose it depends how closely they follow it.....either way I'm still in

Caught up last night. The only questions I have are : About time, but why didn’t Negan do it earlier? He had plenty of chances. 

Why go through the charade of tying Lydia up elsewhere? Can’t see what purpose it served. 

Why were Jerry and Ezekiel hanging back when Darryl was rescuing the kids instead of helping out?

Watched the last episode of series 10 last night. We waited six months.... for that???!!!  Jesus, what a load of predictable, nonsensical crap. No wonder it’s finally being wound up after series 11, although apparently that’s going to be 24 episodes shown over two years. Oh great.
