Clearly the answer is to not schedule international matches involving UK sides on armistice day. This isn't a new issue so why wasn't it taken into account?

If you aren't prepared to look after guys after you've blown their limbs off and fucked with their heads then don't do it to them in the first place.
I wouldn't be surprised that if either team didn't wear it, then a lot of support for them would evaporate, even if only temporarily.
I also agree that there seems to be a growing expaectation that we wear them, especially those in the media, and I think that is alo ridicluous.

FIFA need to define what is permitted on International team jerseys. And such definitions ought to be reviewed every few years to keep the rules relevant to the time.
