The pickup switch should either be in the normal place or closer to the point of the scratchplate though.
It's actually a 4-way switch on this model- neck, neck & bridge parallel, bridge, neck & bridge series. The upper horn switch is a pickup phase switch. So slightly more versatile than the original switching, and quite likely simpler to use too.
Don't like the switch placement on the Jazzmaster though- I'd have preferred it where it's meant to be, but if they really had to move it up there it should at least be equidistant from the edges of the scratchplate.

Fender seems to vary which "years" they "do" with the AVRIs now. It was '65 recently but also '59 and I think '61 as well.
Nice guitars but almost too period-accurate in some cases... I'd still prefer a flatter radius on top of all the other vintage-spec stuff. That's where the Custom Shop starts to look good... but that's probably the idea.
