I'm not really surprised that this video has appeared, there is only so much trolling you can put up with. That being said, the response is extremely reasonable and fair... now if only the same sentiments could be spread to the rest of the internet!

In terms of a serious response, though, he's got a hell of a point. He and Rob probably come in for more flak than anyone in the online guitar world, but the problem is that not watching their videos isn't really an option for the people this is addressed to because they actively want to be angry and spew hate at someone (and, let's face it, some of them are on this very forum), and they enjoy it.

Blocking them really is the only way to deal with it; it's the same reason we have The Rob Chapman Rule on here.

I honestly doubt it - we're pretty small-fry compared to their reach, so even without "the incident" there wasn't really a compelling reason for them to join in.

I quite like Lee, but Chapman riles me, I've seen a handful of videos, but I cannot take listening for longer than five minutes. Therefore I don't bother watching. It doesn't put me off buying from there. It was 'imperial credits', thought fuck this I'm off, not watched since.

 The video is titled 'Trolls Aren't Real Musicians - They're Just Dicks' - that's a really abrasive way to approach this issue.

Unless they publish real metrics for this stuff, then it's just virtue signalling.

And I buy a LOT of stuff through Andertons.

I am an avid watched or Andertons vids and find them pretty entertaining. I used to post comments but don't any longer, I don't believe I've posted anything that contravenes the new rules. But there is one thing I cannot agree to do.

I can't stop being a dick, it's in my nature, ask my kids, they'll tell you.

Agreed. The title is very likely to provoke the trolls into trolling even more aggressively than before.

On the other hand, as the trolls make themselves known, it becomes easier to block them.

Tricky. Not everyone who owns a musical instrument deserves to be described as a musician. Some people who own musical instruments do things that are unintentionally funny. It is difficult not to laugh. This is not necessarily the same as bullying. Some human endeavours are plainly ludicrous. It should not be a crime to say so.

TBH I don't really get the hate - Rob, Lee, Rebea et al seem like nice enough blokes doing their best at something they clearly love. If their presentation or playing upsets you that much then why not do something positive instead of being an arse, like oh I don't know practice your guitar, have a wank and let it out that way or for the majority get off the internet and try and get a fucking girlfriend

Kudos to Lee for calling them out - I predict the likelihood is fuck all will change, unfortunately, while the ability to call people names anonymously on the internet is allowed.
