I've never wanted to own a Gibson and I'm even more determined to do so.
Apart from my SG but I bought that at a knockdown price because it had a broken headstock and I think the guy needed another bag of heroin as a matter of urgency.
so you brought something with a crack, so he could buy more crack !!!!!

Lets face it you either want and buy a Gibson or you dont .Gibson are an American made product which is important  to some .The opposition are mainly  imported rip offs. Most rip offs are some one else's design and it was their hard work  that made them what they are ....HOWEVER... most people round the word cant afford or even see a real one so they content themselves with approximate copies  still dreaming of teh real thing .The copies generate the base hobby ,the real ones cream off the top .Both feed each other so Gibson are shooting them selves in  future the wallet .If I buy a cheap shitty Les Paul copy it doesnt mean I bought it instead of a Gibson .It means I wanted a Gibson but couldnt afford it .The internet is full of trolls and fakers. Most wont buy a Gibson ever because they cant play a guitar but can supply an opinion.

At least it was 'authentic' Gibson crack.

That's great cos you're getting a proper bargain and also supporting the heroin industry

Anyone else been looking at Dean Guitars seriously as a result of this or just me?

Also has Slash ever played a Dean? Because that picture would be quite funny....

If I had any spare money at all, I would buy a Dimebag Dean right now.

    Me too.

Wanted both the original 'From Hell' ML and the Razorback FR for ages.
Now I want them just a bit more.

I'd love a Dean Cadillac, Alex Skolnick from Testament used to rock one (don't know if he still does?) they are fantastic looking guitars and sound pretty damn good too.

Edit: I've searched the Internet but can't find anything on him actually playing one but I'm sure as hell that I've seen footage of him playing one.
Tomorrow will be a good day.

  • As sad as it sounds I’m a les paul guy and have 5 of them yet last night I couldn’t bring myself to play them and went for the Fender instead.

Gibson has left a sour taste for me this week. Like making love to a beautiful woman knowing she’s actually a real nasty piece of work

Not sure I could pull off a Razor, but I’ve wanted one of the OG style Dime Slime’s since I was 14. One day when the midlife crisis kicks in fully I’ll probably do it!

I have a sparkly white explorer and a firebird that seem to look ok on me and I'm well used to swinging something around that's the size of Manchester with strings pulled across it. I reckon I could pull off a Razorback because playing it would be exciting and I stopped caring what people think years ago.
I seem to like the gloss black ones and recently I've gone "Oooohhh" at the black with silver bevels model.

I really like the 'Dime Slime' ML too but I couldn't get that over the 'From Hell' ML. Just my history I guess, there's too many memories surrounding the CFH album and their early '90's live shows.

I even looked at the MAB - 1 and that looks interesting too.
