A New Hope works as a standalone movie and is a fantastically paced romp from start to finish. 

Empire I never really 'got' - people say "oh but it ends on such a downer" like that's a good reason to sit through it. Fair enough it's part 2 of a trilogy, but part 3 didn't deliver so we may as well have stopped after the first one.

I liked The Force Awakens, but mostly because they just copied A New Hope. And The Last Jedi is a cautionary tale about trying to shoehorn a bunch of SJW messages into a movie aimed at 12 year old boys. Urgh

Back to The Mandalorian - looks great! I can't wait to torrent the lot

Pretty sure everyone hates Ewoks. People just forget as they hate Jar Jar Binks even more.

Matrix was great, 2 and 3 not as good as they could have been but I liked the story, was very mature in pretty much saying the flag waving ultimate victory delivered by movies since they started wasn't achievable so what now.

Empire was great first part of ROTJ was very good, prequels less so.  New ones okay, spin offs better.

Something I don't understand in Star Wars is how come R2D2 and Darth Vader don't appear to know each other in A New Hope? In the prequels R2D2 was Annekin/Darth Vaders bessie mate. The prequels are bollocks.

The only thing I don't like is when “alien” non humans speak English in Star Wars spin offs. They should all speak in alien language as per the original film in my opinion. When they speak in English it's just a man/woman in a costume.
