I just bought a Lazy J20 !
It's like a JTM era Marshall meets a JTM one (hence the rock/blues switch) but with a switchable tube boost in there that hot-rods either channel to be hotter than a JCM 800 series.
The big appeal is that there are two gain controls that can be blended to get the right dark/bright mix to match whichever guitar you put in , which is something that you don't often get in a higher gain amp.
Add a subtle digital reverb and a great FX loop...
The power section is only 10 Watts with a single ended design that can run either a EL34 or a 6L6
Many guitars have a re-sale value. Some you'll never want to sell.
Stockist of: Earvana & Graphtech nuts, Faber Tonepros & Gotoh hardware, Fatcat bridges. Highwood Saddles.
Pickups from BKP, Oil City & Monty's pickups.

There's the Suhr Badger 35 that I should never have sold, obviously, and Lazy J 40, but I think top of the list is a Hamstead Artist 20+. Played one at the Kempton Park guitar show and it was rather wonderful. That or a Brunetti Pleximan. Then there's the Tone King itch that at some point needs to be scratched, not to mentioned a Friedman of some sort and maybe a Carr Slant.
AX8 is admirably doing the job at the moment, but I foresee an..ahem .. backup amp purchase in the near future.

You not just build one or two....??
a very lovely amp indeed with exquisite attention to detail.
Beyond that, a 633 Engineering is calling loudly
Cheers,
Adam
If I could get any amp now it would be a 40 watt version of the MJW 5e3 that @martinw built for me.
