They have books if you ask for them, so you can use 3rd party garages and have a record without keeping invoices. Many owners simply don't bother.

Thanks @RaymondLin she's ok just really shaken up.
A chap pulled out of his driveway at speed whilst she was in stop start traffic and t-boned her. The car is a right mess - only had it four weeks !

However when we bought it we saw it advertised 11am sunday - had it on our drive 5pm the same day !

Now need to find her another convertible mini in blue......

That sounds reckless on his part.  Shouldn't be any argument and get your insurance money payout quickly.

The car is just 4 weeks? and I presume you had a different car before that?

Are you going to have 3 cars in less time than Emp finding 1?

Just put the top down,  you really don't need aircon in an mx5.
