    ‘Under a glass moon’ from Dream Theater comes to mind for me.
    I don’t really listen to them anymore but the energy in that solo is just incredible and it’s very memorable..

    Depends on the day.  The first Richard Lloyd solo is superb, but the long one in the middle is like a song in it's own right. 

    Although not a true 'solo' I have to put in a solo piece by Django

    No one really gives a shit about acoustic guitar players but John Fahey is as good as it gets IMO, maybe not for technique but for expression.
