With a years notice, you never know. Speak to the right people, say the right things and throw in a reach around and you might be surprised who you could get. ;-)

I suspect that, at an event like this, it'd have to be well-rehearsed and tight in order to justify not giving the slot to somebody people will know, not the "fun jam" kind of thing. That might be harder to do, logistics-wise.

It's not a bad thought! There is, however, also the fact that the last time we did a stage event, literally nobody showed up to see it and we cancelled

Plus complaints about the lack of parking, length of queue to get in, and noise levels

I was really looking forward to going to this, as I've missed the last two for various reasons, but I'm so full of cold I can barely get off the sofa, let alone head for this.

Hope everyone has a good time and it goes well.

I know this year's has barely begun, @Jason, but is there any chance you can do some more acoustic stuff next year, or is it just not worth it due to lack of interest/not enough happening in the market to justify it/not enough acoustic suppliers, builders, etc, want to come along (delete as appropriate)? Or am I not recognising how much acoustic stuff will be there this year because I won't be?

Apologies, not meaning to be a twat about it, just curious.
